This article is full practical, easy ways to deal with stress. Stress is a part of our lives. It is important to recognize what causes you stress and how you can manage it. Here are a few tips to help reduce your stress.
1. Be positive
This may seem easier said than done, but recognizing that you are stressed and choosing to keep an optimistic outlook will help you control your anxiety. Become the captain of your thoughts and worry less about things you cannot control.
For example, when I am overwhelmed with a huge load of tasks at work, I remind myself of the things I cannot change and the things I can change. I choose to focus on what I can change and use that as a tool to accomplish the job.
2. Designate time for work and for rest
In other words, make a schedule and stick to it. By the same token clear your schedule where you can cut back. If stress is getting to you, work on cutting the commitments in your life and say no to extra obligations.
Designate a day in each week that you can commit to yourself and your rest. It is important to recover after a week of hard work. For many people, Sundays are a great day to take a break from work calls, gym workouts, cooking, cleaning, and more.
3. Breathe
…or meditate. If you’re not able to clear schedule, search for ways to take mental breaks throughout the day. Pausing for 1-5 minutes while working to focus on breathing techniques or mindfulness exercises can reduce stress.
4. Get some fresh air
Simple activities such as going for a ten minute walk can reduce stress. For me, going for a walk or run is a nice escape from my work environment and to take my mind off of things. Not to mention physical activity is known to help with stress, depression, and anxiety.
The bottom line on easy ways to deal with stress.
Stress will always be apart of our lives. With intentional work, we can make sure it doesn’t dominate our lives.
